[Solved] Thunderbird 60.0 - Fixes Critical Vulnerabilities
-
I read that Thunderbird 60.0 fixes Critical Vulnerabilities:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2018-19/I am going to download and install it right now (and do a full system scan).
-
I installed Thunderbird and did a full system scan.
VulnDetect detects the following product:
- Product: Thunderbird Beta
- Version: 60 Beta
So here some additional data:
Version number displayed in the application: 60.0 (32-bit)
Version information from the EXE file:
File name and path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe Product Name: Thunderbird Internal Name: Thunderbird Original Filename: thunderbird.exe File Description: Thunderbird Company: Mozilla Corporation Legal Copyright: ©Thunderbird and Mozilla Developers, according to the MPL 1.1/GPL 2.0/LGPL 2.1 licenses, as applicable. Legal Trademarks: Thunderbird is a Trademark of The Mozilla Foundation. Comments: Mozilla Thunderbird Mail and News Client File Version String: 60.1.1 File Version: 60.1.1.6786 Product Version String: 60.0 Product Version: 60.0.0.0
Here is the new Thunderbird icon (used for version 60.0 and above)
For comparison the old Thunderbird icon (used for version 52.0 and below)
-
Side note: I never had a beta of Thunderbird installed.
-
@olli_s That was interesting. This should be fixed now. Please let me know if there is other issues with Thunderbird.
-
In the list of apps you display version 60.1.1
Version number displayed in the application: 60.0 (32-bit)
So please also display 60.0
-
@olli_s Yes, you are right.
-
Issue is fixed
