[Added] UltraEdit - App-Request
-
It would be cool when you detect UltraEdit.
This app is mostly used by business customers.Tell me if you need more details about this app.
I can provide an app-icon for this app!
-
I found the icon of UltraEdit, here it is in ICO format: While other icons are available in 256 x 256 pixel, the icon of UltraEdit is only available in 48 x 48 pixel.

@OLLI_S Added detection for the 64bit version. Will expand the detection next week. UltraEdit is yet another case of a vendor who doesn't publicly respond to vulnerabilities:
https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=2010-3402Perhaps they did long time ago, but in that case they removed the info again. So all UltraEdit versions will be detected as vulnerable, until the vendor publishes a statement somewhere, that clarifies when the issue was fixed.

I will download and install UltraEdit in my VM and test it.
-
UltraEdit is not detected in my VM (although I did 2 scans).
-
@olli_s Do you have the file uedit64.exe? And are we talking about UltraEdit from IDM Computer Solutions?
-
 I have the following file path: - C:\Program Files\IDM Computer Solutions\UltraEdit\uedit64.exe
So this answers all your questions ;-)
-
Well, I can tell that our files are identical. And that mine is detected.
-
And now mine is detected too.
But I did two full system scan via the command line some hours before and there nothing was shown?
-
Anyways, UltraEdit is detected by VulnDetect and the version number is also correct.
It is not reproducible why it took a bit longer until it was shown here.
 Issue is solved.
