[Solved] Foxit Reader - Missing Icon
-
Foxit Reader is detected correctly and also the version number is correct.
Just the App-Icon is missing. Here it is (in 128 x 128 pixel) in PNG format:
Note:
- The black colour is the transparent colour
-
Thank you. Added. However, this is radically different from the icon I found for the "Foxit Reader" with the space.
-
What Icon did you find?
I downloaded the current version and will install it in my VM right now. -
-
This is the icon of older versions:

@olli_s See that is why I recognize that icon, I haven't used Foxit for many years. Good, we stick to the new one
-
I installed the current version and get the following icon on the desktop:
So that means that you have to store a relation between the icon and the version of an application.
If the company uses a new icon and users have the old version installed. -
@olli_s Yes, we actually do support that, however, we will just use the most recent one now and then over time, as they change icons, then we may use the old one for historic entries.

The icon is now shown, but the black colour is not transparent.
So the icon looks awful. -
I uploaded the app-icon in PNG format.
Unfortunately PNG has no transparent colour, so I extracted the icon from the EXE with an icon editor.
In the icon file there are multiple sizes stored (so the icon scales). Here is the new app-icon in ICO format:
And you see that the background is transparent now

@olli_s Great, fixed
-
Cool, the Foxit Reader icon has a white corner (so the ICO was used).
Issue solved!
