App-Icon
Notes:- The Company in the EXE-File is Cédric Trévisan but you should use The Paciello Group (see website and also the path in GitHub but also the Copyright in the EXE).
- The app is available as installer and also as portable version (I have the portable version)
- The app is available in 32 Bit and also in 64 Bit (I have the 64 Bit)
- The file name of the portable version is CCA-Portable-64.exe (64 Bit) or CCA-Portable-32.exe (32 Bit) but I renamed it to Colour_Contrast_Analyser_3.0.0_Portable_x64.exe
Here the information extracted from the 64-Bit EXE file:
File name and path: D:\PortableApps\PortableApps\_ColorContrastAnalyzerPortable\Colour_Contrast_Analyser_3.0.0_Portable_x64.exe Product Name: Colour Contrast Analyser (CCA) Internal Name: Original Filename: File Description: Colour Contrast Analyser (CCA) Company: Cédric Trévisan Legal Copyright: Copyright © 2019 TPG Legal Trademarks: Comments: File Version String: 3.0.0 File Version: 3.0.0.0 Product Version String: 3.0.0 Product Version: 3.0.0.0
-
After I created this App-Request I saw that version 3.0.1 is available:
Here the information extracted from the 64-Bit EXE file:
File name and path: D:\PortableApps\PortableApps\_ColorContrastAnalyzerPortable\Colour_Contrast_Analyser_3.0.1_Portable_x64.exe Product Name: Colour Contrast Analyser (CCA) Internal Name: Original Filename: File Description: Colour Contrast Analyser (CCA) Company: Cédric Trévisan Legal Copyright: Copyright © 2019 TPG Legal Trademarks: Comments: File Version String: 3.0.1 File Version: 3.0.1.0 Product Version String: 3.0.1 Product Version: 3.0.1.0

@OLLI_S I believe this has been detected for a few months.
-
@Tom Strange, I can not see it in my list of apps.
- I searched for the product "Col", here I just find ColorCop
- I searched for the product "CCA", here I get no results
- I searched for the vendor "Paciello", here I get no results
- I searched for the vendor "Trévisan", here I get no results
When I search for "Colour*.exe" then I get:
- D:\PortableApps\PortableApps_ColorContrastAnalyzerPortable\Colour_Contrast_Analyser_3.0.1_Portable_x64.exe
- D:\PortableApps\PortableApps_ColorContrastAnalyzerPortable\colour_contrast_analyser_32bit.exe
- D:\PortableApps\PortableApps_ColorContrastAnalyzerPortable\Colour_Contrast_Analyser_64bit.exe
- D:\PortableApps\PortableApps_ColorContrastAnalyzerPortable\Colour_Contrast_Analyser_3.1.1_Portable_x64.exe
- D:\PortableApps\PortableApps_ColorContrastAnalyzerPortable\Colour_Contrast_Analyser_3.0.0_Portable_x64.exe
- D:\PortableApps\PortableApps_ColorContrastAnalyzerPortable\Colour_Contrast_Analyser_3.1.2_Portable_x64.exe
Are the version numbers in the filenames the problem?
-
@Tom At the website of the Colour Contrast Analyser https://github.com/ThePacielloGroup/CCAe/releases
I saw that the file names of the portable EXE are: CCA-Portable-x.x.x.exe.
Unfortunately, I have renamed my files to Colour_Contrast_Analyser_x.x.x_Portable_x64,exe
So I renamed all my portable versions to the original file names. Now these files are detected by VulnDetect.
At the website of the Colour Contrast Analyser I also saw, that there was a new version (3.2.0) released about 4 weeks ago.
This version is NOT detected by VulnDetect.
So, here is the data extracted from the EXE file:
File name and path: D:\PortableApps\PortableApps\_ColorContrastAnalyzerPortable\CCA-Portable-3.2.0.exe Product Name: Colour Contrast Analyser Internal Name: Original Filename: File Description: Colour Contrast Analyser (CCA) Company: Cédric Trévisan Legal Copyright: Copyright © 2022 Cédric Trévisan Legal Trademarks: Comments: File Version String: 3.2.0 File Version: 3.2.0.0 Product Version String: 3.2.0 Product Version: 3.2.0.0

@OLLI_S Are you sure that file is present?
I looked your results, and found three other files in the same folder.
They all match the same lookup, and if the filename you posted is correct, then that should also be matched.I did notice that on one of your machines, you had one name "32", not "3.2.0", but the actual version was something else. But after I re-inspected, that file seems to be gone.
-
@OLLI_S Ahh, I spotted the difference, there was a small change in the product name.
All fixed, thanks for reporting.

Colour Contrast Analyser is now detected by VulnDetect and the version numbers are also correct.
@Tom: Thank you for adding this app! -
