Can you do me please two favours:

  • Add "Beta" in the Help-About screen
  • Change any of the version-string-fields (like "File Version String" and/or the "Product Version String" to "8.0.53 Beta" (so add "Beta" and remove the "2002.")

Then the correct version is stored in the EXE file.

I keep you up to date when I get a reply.
